What kind of help does Acworth-Dallas PFLAG need?
As a growing chapter, we need support for events, executive board members, and facilitators for our monthly meetings.
Board Member
Board Member help lead the organization by providing governance, financial oversight, and strategic direction while actively supporting the mission of PFLAG. They serve as ambassadors in the community, participate in meetings and events, and work collaboratively to ensure inclusive, effective programs and advocacy efforts for LGBT+ people and their loved ones.
Currently, we are searching for volunteers to fill the Fundraising and Advocacy positions.

Group Facilitators
Group Facilitators provide support to the chapter by leading conversations during support group meetings. Group Facilitators are fellow members of the community and the PFLAG chapter itself, and are not licensed professionals.
Currently, we are seeking volunteers to fill group facilitator roles.
Facilitator Requirements
- Complete a scheduled facilitator training session hosted by PFLAG National.
- Be available to attend and regularly lead monthly support group meetings.
- Be familiar with the topic guidelines and rules for support group meetings.

Event Volunteers
Volunteers are the backbones of the community events we host throughout the year. Responsibilities for event volunteers on contingent on the type of event on an as need basis.
